Help me give my students engaging activities that are well suited for remote learning from teachers who have seen them be successful.

My students come from a diverse background most including a low socio-economic status. Our district is a Title I, universal free lunch and breakfast program district that serves over 1400 students and about 800 of them are served by our Elementary School. I will have the pleasure to work with 25 of those students directly once our doors are able to be open, but will be working with the entire grade level of about 125 while we are remote. Our students are full of the potential to rise above the challenges they face daily and are capable of becoming anything they set their minds to. I am very grateful to be able to work with my students to help guide them towards their dreams and helping them to find their strengths and maximize them. My students are spectacular!
Through the use of a TeachersPayTeachers gift card I will be able to purchase high quality science and social studies instructional materials coming directly from the teachers who have used them. I will use these materials to boost engagement and provide fun learning activities for my students to complete while they are learning remotely. These resources will be useful in years to come as they can be added to my repertoire of prepared lessons so that once we are back in the classroom I can continue to promote digital tools for learning. I hope to find resources specifically designed for remote learning that teachers have seen be successful with their students during the times of this pandemic.
