This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students learn the best when they are engaged, this has been a challenging year for them, with remote learning, technical issues and trying to remain focused at home. They are a beautiful bunch and love to learn. They are zealous and inquisitive and love a great read aloud.

My Project

As schools across the country have rapidly shifted to distance learning due to school closures brought about by the coronavirus (COVID-19), students have been sent home with school-issued devices like laptops or tablets so they can continue their learning from home. During this unprecedented time, districts need to have systems in place to manage these devices while students learn remotely for the foreseeable future. This task can be daunting, as technical issues will assuredly arise.

My students will greatly benefit from having these tablets because all of our instruction is currently remote and a number of students do not have a device at all.

Having these resources ready and available to my students will guarantee that they will be engaged, informed, and on task for ALL remote lessons and group meetings. Our daily lessons plans are all digital and our meetings are through google classroom, if a student does not have a device they can not participate in daily instruction

Students will be able to follow remote instructions with new up to date technology, most of my students do not have any devices at home and this will help them to be fully prepared for their online instruction.
