Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fifth grade students are an amazing and diverse group of kids! Each student brings unique qualities and talents to the classroom that allow us to learn and grow with one another. They come to class every day ready to learn and read! However, our classroom does not have many books.
These students deserve the opportunity to read new and exciting books to keep fueling their passion for literature!
I am very lucky to have each of these kids in my class to not only teach, but also learn from every day.
My Project
Having choices is important to the growing independence of our preteens. I would love to be able to provide my students with choices in what they can read. I have a range of subject interests and being able to provide the students the ability to make a choice in what they are reading will mean they will be more focused and interested in their reading.
We also need headphones to use with our new Chromebooks!
We are so excited that we were able to provide our students with Chromebooks, and now we need headphones so that they can work independently. Thank you for considering donating to our great class!
