Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

This school is a middle city school with students from many different economic and cultural backgrounds.
My students are asked to provide supplies that might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.
My Project
I am writing this the day before spring break starts for my 100 6th grade students. They are sitting in their chairs, some with headphones on, some with stress balls and many completely zoned. Its test day, their last unit final before we start review for State testing.
My students are stressed.
Some so stressed that I have given out all my peppermints, distributed all of my stress balls and have had many conferences with them about how they can prepare for their test. We as a society ask them to preform... do their best on 1 day... and if they fail on that day, they fail that year. Now I won't get into if this is right or wrong but I will tell you, my students stress about that day.
I am asking for an aromatherapy kit to have on while we take the journey into the review of the year. Jenga sets to we can make our review fun. Headphones for independent time, so they can focus. Finally I need more stress balls... mine are about worn out.
