My Students

My students are fantastic little learners. They enter the classroom just out of first grade, so young and unsure. By the end of the second grade they are confident decision makers who are ready for the next step.

Second grade is a crucial time to encourage independent thinking.

Students who feel appreciated will always do more than expected. As a teacher it is my responsibility to instill this in my students.

They are independent thinkers learning the "hows" and the "whys." My students learn how to integrate their thinking into concrete facts. Students in my classroom are led by their own independent thinking. Their learning comes from them!

My Project

These books would be engaging for my second graders. Fun books that teach about kindness! It's so much fun when the kids can take away a little something without even knowing they are learning.

Relaxing AND learning about how to be kind!

I have a couple flexible seating options in my class, but I have no doubt these would be the icing on the cake. I've found so many beneficial reasons to have flexible seating. They are a natural behavior tool. My kiddos love to sit in the fun places around our room. It would be great to be able to add these to their choices.
