Help me give my students bolsters and blankets so that they may learn how to relax and care for their wellness.

My students are all vivacious, talented and ready to take on the world. In our classroom, students engage in rigorous study of acting and theater production. They are focused and loving.
I am so grateful to be one of my effervescent students' theater teachers.
I look forward to experiencing their love of theater as I share my own. We are like a family in our theater department. One of our favorite quotes is "Ohana means family." from the animated film "Lilo and Stitch." We feel it describes our world.
I am so eager to have bolsters and blankets for my classroom. The donation of these items through donors choose will help me begin to have all the tools I need to train my students to "de-stress" so that they can excel academically and artistically. I currently have my students engage in mindfulness activities in class so that they can focus better on their work in acting class and their academics. The bolsters will be used as a prop for students to align with their spine or under their knees to allow release of tension in their backs and allow freer breathing for relaxation. The blankets provide an extra weight in class that can be used by students to provide comfort and reduce anxiety.
My students have many stressors that affect them academically and artistically.
Through breathing and relaxation work in my class, my students are gaining control over their stress and able to focus on their goals in school and in life. It is amazing to see how quickly they are learning to relax and rejuvenate when they begin the exercises in class. They take trains, buses and walk sometimes hours to school after dropping off siblings at school or daycare. They are expected to arrive at school ready to learn and excel while managing a myriad of responsibilities in a difficult world.
