I would absolutely love to see my children \"camped\" around our room reading their favorite book. I see students on a comfortable rug with pillows, beanbags, and throws surrounding them. My 6th grade students at Claremont Academy are enjoying reading the books from our library however; they don\'t look comfortable reading at their desks! We have one small blue rug and they really love it. However we only have one rug! I teach all subjects, as I lead a self-instructed class. While the students do have time each day to read their favorite books, I know that they would be much more excited with lounging materials (They have often called it \"college-style\"). Currently I have 25 students. However next year (when I hope to receive the grant) I will teach reading and one other subject. My students are beginning to see the joys of reading and I would like for this to continue. With the emergence of the phrase \"college-style\" (referring to the lounging and relaxed look that they see college students reading on a lawn or quad) the children want to hold on and get used to the idea of formal higher education.
