This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever meet a child that doesn't know what a laptop or tablet is? I have two classrooms of 20 students and most have not held or explored using a computer or tablet outside of school. I would like to get a Samsung Tablet to enhance in class learning of math and science concepts.

I currently serve 40 fifth grade students in a Title 1 school in Texas.

My students are economically disadvantaged and have very little but they come to school like sponges wanting to absorb everything. Their very bright and curious and always looking for new learning opportunities that challenge them.

My Project

I'm requesting a Samsung Tablet to be used in the classroom for my students to explore different math and science websites. I would like them to be challenged daily with real world examples of math and science at work, by receiving the tablet I'll be able to make math and science come alive and my students will be able to view these two concepts live.

My project is of the utmost importance for my students.

I want them to be able to search for things they don't understand and be able to use technology in meaningful ways. I enjoy seeing my students make connections and having a Samsung Tablet in the classroom will make those science and math connections come alive on a daily basis.
