Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are one big, happy family. Our Title I school is home to a large population (92%) of English language learners. My students face many challenges while living in a new country and attempting to learn a new language.
My three classes are filled with 75 eager students who love working together to complete various tasks. My goal is to make their transition as smooth as possible in hopes of preparing them for great achievement. They are capable of greatness and will achieve.
My Project
The requested materials are life essentials that will be used by the families of our students in need. Receiving these items would mean so much to the students and their families.
As school begins our students worry about their parents and siblings while they are in school.
Having food such as tuna, vegetables, fruit, chips, and a refrigerator to take food home on the weekends will truly be a blessing.
Having the requested life essentials would allow our students to focus on their academics instead of their basic needs. Our students work very hard and would appreciate receiving these essential items to stay clean, dry and prepared to learn.
