Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
From deep down in the rural part of a town in Utah, our students are excited to explore the world of learning in their academic surroundings. I am fortunate to have a classroom filled with the most unique and wonderful students. They come equipped with magnificent minds, determination to learn, and the ability to think deeply.
We have wonderful students with wonderful minds!
To ensure their success, our school has become a place of safety, academic challenge, and discovery. Students spend their year learning the foundation of knowledge and skills they will need to continue to grow and have success in the grades to come. They push themselves to the capacity in academic skills, life skills, and critical thinking. Our students take pride in what they are learning and challenge their individual minds to continue to grow inside and outside of their school walls.
These blocks and STEM accessories will allow my students to bring hands-on manipulatives to their learning. Adding this into our learning arrangement will optimize our learning environment, create fun in learning, and engage active learners.
This upcoming year, I will be revamping our Math and Science lessons and our small group arrangement to meet the needs of all my kindergarten students. This style of learning will be an amazing experience for my students' growth in their academic success. These manipulatives will bring learning to the students' hands and build a better understanding to their academic goals. With so many STEM options, I would like add a cubby system we can fill with the manipulatives so students can have easy access to them. Along with a rug so student no exactly where we use them. The rug is filled with shapes so they can mimic objects to build. With this active environment will take learning to a higher level.
