Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach over 700 students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade at two Title I schools. My students live in a rural part of South Carolina and come from a variety of diverse backgrounds. This project would support the students at both of my schools.
My students are creative, smart, and eager to have hands-on learning activities that will prepare them to become 21st-century learners.
I want all of my students to have the opportunity to create artwork with all the materials they need and provide them with a fun, engaging, and hands-on learning environment.
My Project
This fall I am teaching students virtually from my classroom. When we do return to the art room, I want students to have a clean and organized room to be proud of.
Our art room tables are in need of some TLC!
With your donations, I will have the tools to fix our table tops so students have smooth surfaces to work on. The requested bins will be used to hold materials donated to the art room. The bins keep student supplies organized and easily accessible to all students. I am so proud of all the work my students create in my class, I want them to have an environment for them to be proud of!
