Reflection is Key!
My students need 40 draw and write journals to help them reflect during the school year!
As second graders, it is hard for students to remember what they have learned from day to day! That is why draw and write journals would be the perfect accessories to have in our classroom!
My students attend a small, rural school.
It is located in a high poverty area. Most students receive free and reduced lunch. Even with these challenges, my students are always eager to learn. They come to school each and everyday with bright ideas and thoughts ready to share!
In order to capture their ideas it is important for students to write down their thoughts. What better way to do this then have their own personal journals to record their thoughts! Draw and write journals can be used daily or once a week. Students will be given time to reflect on new knowledge learned! They will write their reflections in their journals and then draw corresponding pictures. Students will then have an opportunity to share their journal entries with their classmates!
Having these journals in my classroom will not only promote students to reflect on their learning, but will also inspire them to be lifelong writers!
Thank you for considering to donate to our classroom!
