Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is filled with eager and ready-to-learn students! We have built and fostered an environment where kids can feel safe and loved. Our school is not located in the safest part of the city, but our school has provided a safe place for our kids. We have Saturday and Sunday recreational activities that provide a safe place for kids to play.
Although these children come from all aspects of life, this does not define who they can become.
We have students who come from homeless shelters, programs, single family homes, farm-worker parents and foster care. Although they have many obstacles in their life, a barrier to receiving a proper education is not one of them.
My Project
Oohhhhh! Were half way there! We are currently heading towards the middle of our academic year. My students are in need for some crayons and colored pencils. My kids use crayons and colored pencils during our journal writing. The kids draw a picture first and color it to help them with their writing.
The watercolors will be used during our art time.
I want my kids to experience water coloring.
I plan on using watercolors to help them understand the concept of warm and cool colors. The pencil boxes will be used to help my kids stay organized. We also need a pencil sharpener to help my kids pencils stay sharp!
