The library is a hub of learning at CHS where students come for their research and information needs.
My students are bright career and college minded students, who need help developing good research habits.
They are students who push themselves to higher limits and take on challenging courses, including high level research, and dual credit classes. Our school puts a significant amount of time and effort into our students, beginning with freshmen and following all the way through with seniors, preparing kids a path for post high school success. Along the way, our kids are taught good research habits, by giving them the opportunity to research topics that interest them, and by gaining the academic support they need along the way.
My Project
As students in the CHS classroom, our students will use these research tools to support their assignments, by having access to information that actually interests them. Reference sets, dedicated to interesting subjects that are popular among high school students, will be utilized over and over in a variety of class projects. Students will be able to research careers and icons in the music and fashion industries, with quality reference sets. Juniors and seniors will also be able to research majors, colleges, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities to help them make informed decisions when it comes to post high school education.
With the addition of these materials, students will be excited about research.
They will want to learn about icons in the music and fashion industry that they know and admire. These resources will make helping students research easier and more interesting, due to the access to quality materials. Students will be able to use these college resources to make or reaffirm current decisions regarding choice of major and college, to understand financial aid, and to become aware of scholarship opportunities.
