My Students

My kids come from all different backgrounds--Military, Single-parent homes, ESL--You name it, we have it! But that doesn't matter to them! In band class, they are all just kids trying to make music to the best of their ability.

My students have big dreams, but limited resources to achieve those goals.

My Project

Woodwind reeds are an essential resource for clarinet, saxophone, oboe, and bassoon band musicians to make a characteristic sound on their instruments. Most of the time, my kid’s parents are unavailable to take them to the store or provide the money to buy new reeds. By having a supply of reeds available at the school, we will be able to keep all kids engaged in each lesson without the worry or embarrassment of any uncontrollable circumstances.
