My students are young musicians who are striving for excellence throughout their daily rehearsals. We are hindered in our growth by the financial costs of replacing our reeds frequently.
My students are hardworking, intelligent middle school musicians in rural upstate South Carolina.
We have experiences tremendous growth in the band program with enrollment now over 100 students. These students are enthusiastic about learning how to play an instrument! With your donation through Donors Choose, you will be helping to continue the growth and development of our band program.
My Project
I have 36 woodwind players that need these reeds to be able to play their clarinets, oboes, alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones. This supply of reeds would allow these students to be able to change their reeds once every 2 weeks. Even if the reeds don't break, they need to be replaced that often just from a sanitary stand point. I have requested enough reeds to last the program until Christmas break.
Donating to our project through Donors Choose will allow my students to have the necessary equipment to become strong, independent musicians.
