Ms. Hardy from Marvell AR is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need a computer to do research on how to conserve their environment by recycling, reusing, and reducing.

Technology is very limited in our school and even less available in my students' homes. Technology is here to stay and my students need to be able to use some technology on a daily basis in order to compete successfully in today's world.
I teach 50 very energetic and hard working fifth graders.
They attend a Title I school where they enjoy using technology in the classroom. They are excited to learn new things and apply their learning to real life. School is the highlight of some of my students' lives. Although, they are very hardworking, they do not have all the up-to-date technology needed to compete in today's society. Many of them are from low income, single parent homes. Their parents would love for them to become productive members of society some day.
My students need a computer to do research and take pictures of their effort to conserve their environment by recycling, reusing, and reducing. The computer will give my students the resource needed to use technology daily to do research and document their efforts to save our environment. They plan to recycle plastic bottles and bags at Wal-Mart and save aluminum cans for recycling. They plan to reduce waste through reusing materials. They know that we can help to conserve our environment by recycling, reducing and reusing, therefore putting less garbage in our landfills.
The computer will give my students a chance to use technology daily in the classroom.
They will be able to complete research and do class presentations on recycling, reusing and reducing to save our environment.
