Help me give my students recess equipment! We have a soccer field, but no soccer balls, pinnies, or cones to help with boundaries. We have four square and kickball field...but no balls to play with for the games.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds spanning from multiple languages spoken at home, diverse economic levels, and various stages of learning. We are blessed to have a great community of parents and support staff who want to see our students thrive.
We are a Title I, ESOL, and SPED site for our booming school district.
We are one of the largest elementary schools in our district. Our building serves as a gateway to creating the best educational experience for our students in an ever-changing world and society.
My Project
Presently, my students have access to a soccer field, four square grids on the blacktop, and a kickball zone on our playground.
However, we do not have the equipment to allow them to play in these areas.
I want my students to be active and learn constructive skills taught through games at recess. There is also a volleyball court but no volleyballs.
The pinnies and cones are necessary to denote which students are on teams to cut down on arguing and boundary decisions when they are playing sports. Please consider donating to my project so that my students may actually get to play at some of these locations at recess. At the moment they are limited to a few swings, jungle gym, and blacktop without the equipment to play.
