I am a second year fourth grade teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada. I work at a Title I school where the majority of students are eligible for free and reduced lunches and breakfast. The majority of our students come from a lower-middle class neighborhood here in Las Vegas.
Our school is extremely diverse and is a host school for many African refugee students.
Our students come from so many different cultural backgrounds. I hope to create an engaging classroom where every learner comes to school excited.
If your Hogwarts acceptance letter is still lost in the mail, go for the next best thing and transfer to our school where I plan to transform my fourth grade classroom into a Harry Potter-themed wonderland!
The physical structure of a classroom is a critical variable in affecting student morale and learning.
Basically, classrooms should be inviting, environments that make students feel good to be there.
Using just a few basic supplies such as; backdrop, area rug, paper, glass jars, plastic backdrop, and flame-less candles can turn my classroom into an inviting environment that supports positive interaction between my students. Help me create this truly magical environment that will give my students a sense of excitement empowerment!
