Help me give my students the best knowledge I can considering we lost 24 instructional days. We had a bookshelf that was damaged during the storm. Also our five subject notebooks were damaged from the storm.
My students are finally back in the swing of things since Hurricane Florence. Hurricane Florence made a big impact on our community. We had students who lost more things than others. For them to pick up and continue with their studies says a lot about them.
My students are a loving group of kids.
This group is willing to work hard and enjoy being independent workers. They are outspoken and they keep you going. My students are willing to help one another. They are always looking out for one another. They even consider their classmates as a brother or sister. These kids are real close and they really love one another.
My Project
All students should be able to come to school being prepared and ready to learn. In September our community was affected by Hurricane Florence. We were out of school for 24 days. Our students lost a lot of instructional time. We had a bookshelf in our classroom that we would keep our seasonal books and we had to throw it out because of the mold and mildew. We lost about $50 worth of books.
With my students having to relocate during the storm, some of their materials were damaged.
We use five subject notebooks in our class to keep notes for all subjects. I have noticed that majority of my students' notebooks are damaged.
The scholastic news articles would be used as a reference to integrate my Science and Social Studies into my lessons. The Math resources could be sent home to help the parents working with the students.
