My Students

My students are in an environment where they could genuinely benefit from an artistic outlet.

In this COVID world we're living in, sharing musical expression is even more important.

Over 75% of our students receive free/reduced lunch and often cannot afford even the simplest of school supplies such as pencils and paper. Although in middle school, many students are needed to become the main caregivers of their little siblings so that their parents may work. They need a safe place where they can leave their worries at the door and sing their hearts out.

My Project

In a time that it's more important than ever to find ways to virtually reach out to others, sharing videos via social media is a prime means of communication within a community.

We want some simple audio and video equipment for an iPhone to have the means to produce quality social media videos to share what's going on in our classroom.

Although we hope to upgrade to some real camera equipment, iPhones and Android devices have developed incredible video quality. Our students and staff are all doing some pretty amazing things that deserved to be shared right away!
