This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I teach 6, 7,and 8th grade students in an inner-city high need middle school. Our classes are titled Talent Development and my students are given the opportunity to develop skills that are above and beyond the standards of learning.
The students in our school would like to have a yearbook to commemorate their school year and the students would like to have a hand in creating the yearbook by taking photographs. At the current time we have an old digital camera that does not take clear pictures.
Given the appropriate equipment, students could achieve success in creating their own yearbook and recording their memories. My students need an effective, easy to use digital camera for use in creating the yearbook for our school.
Your help will ensure that my students are given the opportunity to create their own memorabilia and take ownership and pride in a school project.
