This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are all from the city of Buffalo. They come from low income families. They come to school and give me 100%. I strive to create the best learning environment I can as a teacher. My class is filled with elaborate thinkers. They truly enjoy coming to school and being given opportunities to work with their peers in a educational environment. Whatever I can do for my students I will try and do. They are why I chose this career!

My Project

My students are ending this school year with a social issues unit. After leading my students through the first two parts of the unit, I'm planning on ending with a project. I'm hoping to utilize this camcorder by having students record commercials in small groups based on a social issue related to their own lives. These commercials will then be presented to others to make them aware that students in our school can voice their opinions and beliefs. This project can potentially allow students that are quiet/scared to talk to know there are others out there can are in similar situations.
