My students are from two small elementary schools in West Virginia. This year I will be teaching Kindergarten through 5th grade as well as chorus for 4th and 5th grade.
The classroom teachers often tell me how much the kids look forward to coming to music class.
They are enthusiastic and always eager to learn new songs and games.
I'm always amazed at how kind my students are, especially to each other. They never have to be afraid to try. Music affords them the perfect opportunity to be creative in a safe environment.
My Project
There are a lot of unknowns regarding this school year, but we still want to have a fun and effective music class. That means we might have to change the way we do some things, but we are up for the challenge!
These plastic Lyons recorders are durable and water-resistant which makes them super easy to keep clean so we can keep our kids safe while they are learning how to play.
This pack of recorders will give every student their own instrument that they can take home in the event that we have times of remote learning this year. After all, the show must go on!
