My Students

My students love to learn. They are curious about the world and are working hard to learn more every day. They inspire me daily to become the best teacher I can be. I love to create a classroom where students are excited about learning and are actively engaged.

There's a quote that I have seen on a t-shirt that I truly believe "Some only people dream of meeting their favorite musicians, I get to teach mine." They truly are amazing students and people.

My Project

My students need a set of recorders to use in the classroom. Many of my students cannot afford to buy their own recorder and rely on borrowing one from the school. Unfortunately, our recorders are beginning to show their age and need to be replaced.

My students are so excited about learning recorders and this would provide them with the tools to be successful.

The recorders would allow my students an opportunity to learn to read music, play a wind instrument and be part of an ensemble. They will also be used in a collaborative concert with the district's band program to encourage students to continue with music once they reach middle school.
