Help me give my students the ability to harness their musical abilities and talents by providing them with instruments. Recorders and Ukuleles help students to understand the pitch of the instrument and connect it with learned rhythms.

My Students

The students at my elementary school are bright, intelligent, and capable. They live in a geographical location that is poverty stricken and they aren't afforded many opportunities. Many of them come from broken homes and aren't supported much outside of school. Some even live with a relative instead of their parents.

I believe it is my job as their teacher to afford them experiences that they do not regularly receive.

Experiences that are enriching and focus on engaging the students and providing them an outlet for their creativity. The students are excited to come to music and enjoy when we can put our learning to use.

My Project

There are currently students in my school that do not have access to these instruments in our classroom, because we have so many students in one class. Other instruments are unplayable, are in disrepair, and are hard for the students to use.

Helping fund this project will help fund a life long love of music and instruments for these students.

Ukuleles are fun and help the students to connect to a different culture through playing them. The Recorders are easily playable and allow the students to connect and further their learning with pitch and rhythm development. Thank your for you support!
