Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Brilliant and motivated, exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. Some are good artists, and some are math geniuses while some are good readers. They all work hard to earn their rewards. No matter what their ability is, there is one thing that motivates my students "free computer time".

Students in my class are diagnosed with ASD.

All my students have sensory, emotional and behavioral needs. They are truly an incredible group, and I am excited to have a new group of learners that are ready to learn each year! Every day is different and challenging!

My Project

Do you like to record your book readings? Well, my students love to record and listen to their voice on the computer. All my students use an online reading program every day, which requires students to listen to the text and then record their reading to practice fluency and accuracy.

My students need nine headsets with a mic to record their book readings on the computer.

Students will be able to compare their reading with the computer and make the necessary corrections such as expression, pacing to be an accurate reader. More than anything, it teaches them responsibility, self-correction, and reflection to be independent.
