My Students

My students are eager learners with limited supplies. We live in a somewhat isolated community on the Big Island where the cost of living is high and income is low. We serve a wide-variety of ethnicity and income levels.

Our school is a close-knit, K-8 school in a small community.

Teachers and staff work together to provide the best education possible for all students! We often do so with limited resources but with a whole lot of love and respect for our students, families, and colleagues.

My Project

My students are allotted two 15 minute recess blocks during our school day. They enjoy basketball, soccer and playing catch the most.

Our recess materials need to be replenished.

Our current basketballs and soccer balls are damaged or have gone missing. Our school will be getting a beautiful new soccer field in the Spring and we would love to have enough soccer balls so that whoever wants to play can.

This group of students enjoys outdoor activity so much they typically choose "extra recess" as their communal class reward. They enjoy team sports and get along really well together. Please help support this love of exercise and team work!
