My students are an eclectic group of high energy students from an underprivileged area in Ohio. To keep them engaged, we do a lot of creative learning to reach all of my students' learning styles. They love to be part of their learning and giving them another tool to engage is exciting!
Our students often come from difficult home lives and education is often not at the forefront of their priorities.
Our school is full of dedicated educators who want to see all our students succeed and give them opportunities they otherwise would not have. We have an amazing group of students and I would love to give them more tools to engage them and ensure they understand the value of learning. I want them to use every opportunity they are given so that they can succeed in spite of any outside circumstances.
My Project
Our students LOVE having recess! For many, it is the only place they have to safely play outdoors. It allows them free time to exercise, renew, engage in creative ways, and let off some of the stresses from their daily lives.
Recess gives our students an opportunity they may not always get - fresh air and exercise in a safe and monitored environment.
Students can explore their sports interests while taking a break from the trials that often times hinder their free time. The students play together, engage with their peers, and just have fun - something that all children should have the opportunity to do!
