I have the amazing opportunity to teach kindergarteners. My students have special gifts and talents. They are smart, dedicated, funny, and talented. They teach me skills and abilities every day. What they teach me most is how to push through and not give up no matter what the difficulties are that you face.
I work at a Title I charter school that is dedicated to teaching students who are on the autism spectrum, as well as those who have ADHD and other learning and behavior difficulties.
No matter the difficulties that they face, they come to school every day with smiles on their faces. They are ready and excited to learn! Learning can be a challenge at times for my students, however, they never give up and keep pushing through.
Just as my students never give up, they teach me to not give up as well. I want to give my students the best learning environment possible, a place where technology, information, and experience are abundant and allows them to follow their dreams and learn all that is out there. They want to succeed, and I want them to succeed. Thank you for helping us do so!
My Project
My kindergarten class loves recess! It is a wonderful time for them to get their wiggles out, enjoy fresh air, and socialize with their peers. In fact my students favorite part of the day, you guessed it, is recess!
My class is in major need of equipment for inside and outside recess.
Please help me give my students balls, jump ropes, a whole class parachute, as well as some fun manipulatives and toys they can play with when we have inside recess.
