Recapturing and Restoring Resources for Mathematics

Help me give my students the materials needed to recover from the instructional time lost due to damage from recent tornadoes and hurricanes.

My Project

I teach students who are already performing two or more grade levels behind in both reading and mathematics. COVID-19 came and when the school closed, all of these students got further behind. Our area was hit hard by the hurricane and recent tornadoes. The school was closed, but some students were out for multiple days due to storm damage, undrivable roads, and no electricity in some of the rural areas for five or more days. This put my students even further behind.

Some lost all of their belongings also.

I teach the pre-requisite courses for all of the high school courses. The donation of these supplies(paper, glue, and pencils), will help my students begin to recover some of the instruction they have missed. They will benefit from the materials as I incorporate more hands-on materials and visual aids/graphic organizers.
