My Students

My kindergarteners are the best! Each day is a new and exciting opportunity to explore and learn with them. With such a wide range of student ability levels, I am constantly refreshing activities and materials in the classroom to make sure that each student has what they need to achieve their learning potential.

Hurricane Harvey dealt us a HUGE blow by destroying our schools and community.

Even though we lost a large percentage of classroom items, we are working hard to replace and rebuild. With all the BIG changes we've had this year, I have learned that these kids are so resilient!

My Project

Sadly, Hurricane Harvey flooded our school before we could return for the new school year, so the past few months have been full of changes and disappointments. Fortunately, though, we've also seen successes and triumphs. We began the year in a church and have now moved to another school within our district that was minimally damaged by the storm. Soon we will be moving to portable buildings where we will remain for the foreseeable future. In our busy classroom of 18 Kindergartners, organization is a must! These shelves would help keep our supplies and materials organized in the small space we will soon call home, and hopefully bring a little normalcy to our lives!
