This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and love to learn! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think creatively! They come to school each day ready to try new STEM activities and practice their leadership skills.

Our school is located in a rural area.

Many of their families often struggle to find employment and opportunity. They often struggle to provide the basic needs for their children. Many of our children come to school without school supplies.

My Project

These STEM kits will be beneficial in my classroom. My students learn many important science concepts throughout the year. With these STEM kits, students will be able to connect the concepts that were taught in class to the real world. My students will be able to have hand-on experiences will concepts like oil spill and much more. These STEM kits will allow my students to get a deeper understanding of the material that was taught in the classroom. It will also make them become problem solvers and have a greater love for science concepts. In the end, it will have a huge impact on all of the Science concepts that will be taught throughout the year!
