Help me give my students a love for reading, learning and growing! These books will help build our classroom libraries with a variety of books on their own reading levels.
Our first grade students are full of life. They come into the classroom eager to learn, explore, discuss, create, build and play. As adults, we all know how when we want to do our best work, there is a need for comfort. The same holds true for my first graders.
Our school is a Title I school with low income families, but these challenges do not affect the liveliness and eagerness to learn!
Students in our class are kind, caring, and driven, and they value school.
My Project
Books are an essential tool for teaching reading! In our classroom, we have readers on many levels, from A to O, which means we need many different books. We will also be traveling up the alphabet as we learn more and more words each week! In order to keep learning and growing our reading skills, we need more books!
These books will help our students practice fluency and stamina in their reading in the nonfiction genre.
Our kiddos need books that they can and want to read in order to keep reading for extended lengths of time. Nonfiction books provide opportunities to learn about research and expository writing as well.
