This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard-working, creative, highly motivated, and diverse groups of learners. They come to school ready to learn, and I want to give them a safe, happy, and productive classroom.

I teach at a Title I school in Houston where ninety percent of the students receive free lunch.

Some of the students in my school participate in the Backpack Buddy program. My students are third-grade, English language learners. My students are eager to learn and do their best to make their parents, teachers, and school proud.

My Project

I am requesting funds to purchase unicorn bags with bracelets, key chains and necklaces. My third-grade students will take the state test during May and I want them to give them the motivation to pass it. The unicorn bags are going to be an incentive for my girls to give their best during the state test. I believe if the students work hard they deserve a real reward for their effort. This has been a different year with Covid-19 and I want to reward my students for passing the reading and math state test. Thank you for considering funding our project.
