This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The classroom consists of 27 diverse students. They come from different backgrounds and styles of families. All of my students come from low-income households. 100% of our school qualifies for free and reduced lunch program.

Despite the challenges that they face at home they come to school ready and eager to learn.

Many of my students' have varied needs. They need multiple ways to learn and explore in all content matters. They love new hands on ways to explore math, science, and language arts.

My Project

I am looking to add two Osmo Genius kits to our classroom! This is a fun new way to integrate technology into the classroom. The students will be able to create words and explore different ways to make numbers.

The Osmo Genius kit is a new hands on learning tool that allows for students .

The Osmo kits will give students a new way to explore number sense with the numbers tiles. With the tangram set it will allow for students to gain spatial sense and visual acuity. The letters aid in reading and vocabulary. Other skills consist of problem solving, creativity, hand eye coordination and self expression.
