This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My curious, motivated, and inspiring students are eager to learn! My school qualifies for universal free breakfast and lunch due to over 80% free or reduced-price lunch status. Our students and their families live in an economically disadvantaged community. My first graders and I are part of a 4 classroom team which will loop together through second grade. Over the course of two years, my students and my teacher colleagues and I will have countless opportunities to learn from each other.
Our class motto is We never, never, never, never, never give up!
This means we all work together, ask questions, and think hard every day.
My inspiring and inspired students appreciate the generosity of donors who help us obtain the resources we need.
My Project
My students and I are in a two year loop. This means we were together in first grade and will be together again for second grade. We've found that we like the mobile organization rolling carts offer. We're also desperate for a set of scissors which match (because sometimes color matters!) and fit our growing hands. The paper and lamination sheets will be used for creating learning mats and books and so many yet to be determined projects.
The books I'm requesting made our year end Why Don't We Have These In Our Library List.
My students will be most interested in getting classroom copies of several favorite read aloud titles.
Thanks for helping me to gather the resources my students need. I appreciate that people like you use DonorsChoose to make the dreams of students and teachers come true!
