Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My four and five-year-old students attend a high priority public school in a very diverse location. They start working the minute they enter the classroom. They are expected to take online tests, learn the entire alphabet and all letter sounds, begin reading leveled books, and count to 100 by June.
Our school is a Title I Public Elementary School.
The majority of our students come from low income households. Many of them are learning English as a second language. Some have not had any exposure to school prior to Kindergarten. They are enthusiastic and eager to learn!
My Project
This particular group of students has been LOVING our painting and drawing art centers! They get so excited to rotate through our play centers after a long day of working hard and learning in Kindergarten!
I am asking for a variety of bright and colorful Kwik Stix, twistable crayons, easel paper and foam stickers to replenish our centers!
I have also included storage bins to help keep all of our materials organized and neatly displayed for the students.
My little artists appreciate your kindness and generosity! Thank you so much for considering our project!
