This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My first graders are learning to read so that they can read to learn for the rest of their lives. This is an important time in which they need to develop a strong foundational skills base. It is my goal to turn non readers into proficient readers by the end of the first grade year. Teachers Pay Teachers will provide me with materials that will support the end goal of getting my first graders to be independent readers. The materials I would like to purchase with the teachers pay teachers gift card will support my literacy curriculum with educational and engaging activities.
