My Project

These new books will be a wonderful enhancement to our classroom library. Every book has be chosen with my students in mind. Each are high interest books the students love to read so there is always a waiting list for these types of books. The additional books in my classroom will allow every student to have the book of their choice at all times.

Reading is a critical part of every child's education.

Our school's primary focus in English Language Arts this year is to get our students reading up to grade level. The majority of my students (68%) read well below grade average. Students who read independently have greater comprehension, verbal fluency and develop higher order thinking skills. Having a classroom library filled with books the students actually want to read will be a great way to make certain of my students future success.
