Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are warriors! Every day over 500 students come to school despite facing the everyday challenges of living in impoverished urban environment. 100% of the students fall below the poverty line and in my classroom specifically half of my students are English language learners. They are dedicated to their education and love learning. They are beautiful and capable students who deserve every opportunity. All 23 of my students have overcome great obstacles to be where they are today. They have worked hard on critical skills to make them successful in the classroom as well as within themselves. My students are more than just students, we are a family.

My Project

A kidney table will allow my students to work in groups and collaborate with each other. Kidney tables are a wonderful resource, because they allow the students to sit together in a group.

A kidney table will be beneficial to the learning experience of my students.

The kidney shaped table is much more comfortable for the students to engage and focus. Also, the teacher will have the students cradled around her, making it easier to keep their attention. My students love to learn and work together as a group. Please help me provide a kidney table for my students where I'm sure learning will be engaging and hands-on.
