My Students

I haven't met my students yet because I am a first year teacher, but I am so excited to start this journey! My class will be comprised of children who are diverse and who come from many different backgrounds. I can't wait to meet them!

I want my classroom to be a community where students feel loved, safe, and are excited to learn new things with me.

Each of my students will be unique, with unique needs. By providing them with a variety of books I will be able to reach each student and provide them with many opportunities to foster their love for reading!

My Project

These books will help me teach many different subjects in a relatable manner. Books are a wonderful way to not only teach early literacy skills, but also teach social emotional skills. Many of these books focus on self-regulation, describing your feelings, friendships, and will hopefully help me foster a sense of community within the classroom.

I want my students to have access to a variety of books that can help them with describing their feelings, getting along with one another, and that are relatable to being in Kindergarten.

I will have a diverse group of students, and I want my books in my classroom to reflect and be relatable to each student!
