Every day, I am blessed to go to school where I get to work with a group of enthusiastic, kind, and eager second grade students. These kids are truly amazing! They come from very diverse backgrounds and experiences and have a wide range of ability levels; however, when we come together, we become one. My students' kindness towards each other is bountiful and they really embrace our motto that our class is our family. The same goes on throughout our school. As a school, we are close and work very hard to maintain a safe, loving environment for all who attend. The students work hard and play hard and always try to embrace struggles with a positive attitude.

The students recognize that learning is a process and that we can all make a difference. They love to help each other and work together. One of their favorite ways to learn includes working as groups and then sharing their thinking. These are skills that will impact their futures in a very positive way!
My Project
This crazy school year is well underway, and we have made it through our first trimester! Yay! My students have been working very hard, and have been wonderful through this, ever changing, school year.
We are, currently, in need of a few classroom items to keep us moving into the next portion of the school year.
Our classroom pencil sharpener decided to quit working, and we could really use a new one, that is strong enough to keep up with us! We also need a new bubble gum holder, and bubble gum refills that are used as rewards for passing off our sight word lists. My students and I would be so grateful to have these new items in our room! It would be amazing to be able to use them, daily, as we continue to progress on our second grade adventures!
