Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have a class of 21 energetic kindergarten students. Each morning my students come in ready to learn and take on the day. The students spend a great part of their day in our classroom learning and communicating with one another.

There are a wide range of students with different personalities and abilities in this class.

Having the chance to incorporate flexible seating options into our room would make a world of difference. The students will be able to let go some of their extra energy out while still staying in tune with what is going on in the classroom.

My Project

My students will finally be able to have an outlet for all of the built up energy they store throughout the day!

The wobble chairs and soft seats will serve many students and help them with a wide range of needs and also as a calming tool if needed.

The wobble chairs will be used to help with the wiggling of students while reading and writing. The soft seats will be used in our reading corner. The students get uncomfortable at many times throughout the day because they become tired and restless from sitting for long periods of time and I am ready to find a solution.
