I can't think of a better way to spend my days than with a classroom full of energetic students. My 7- and 8-year-olds are inquisitive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. We live in a rural low-income community. Over 50% of our students qualify for free and reduced-price lunches. I strive to provide them with all of the available knowledge I can with the resources available to me.
They love to learn and they love to be in school.
We do a wide range of hands-on activities to keep our bodies busy. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies to meet individual needs. My students are truly amazing in all that they do and in how they perform. Every day is productive and enjoyable.
A warm and inviting reading corner allowing students a chance to sit, share, and get absorbed in some powerful, lively literature is my focus for this project and I think this sturdy but brightly colored storage bench is just what my students and my reading corner needs!
Kids love to share good books.
This bench has room for up to 3 (or 4) students atop a comfy, easy to clean cushion with lots of storage below for baskets loaded with books. Itś the perfect height and very durable for busy little bodies. Add this to my carpeted area, a few pillows, and a big bookshelf full of books and we´ve got Ready! Sit! Read!
