Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are very creative and enthusiastic learners. A typical day in our small rural setting would begin with our morning cursive work, ELA instruction followed by math, science, writing, PE, and every Friday we’d build our LEGO Education project.
These typical days are now gone since we’ve started distance learning.
Distant learning has been a new challenge for some students, but they continue to be resilient and do their best.
My Project
These materials will help my students as I teach from home because right now I am not able to project the worksheets or math pages that are being assigned to them by me. My students rely heavily on online resources. With the doc camera, I will be able to project and give guidance and instruction for math and their ELA comprehension questions. I will be able to continue to model how to annotate in their anthologies.
I now also rely heavily on my laptop and spend many hours typing.
With a foam wrists rest, I won't strain my writs as heavily as I currently do. With the wireless mouse, I'll be able to work quicker than I do with the mouse pad on my laptop.
