Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is made up of 20 amazing learners. They come to class ready to learn despite the obstacles they face prior to stepping foot in the classroom. We are a Title I school and almost all of my students are English Language Learners. My students love coming to school because I make learning fun. My students work hard each and every day. Unfortunately, they need supplies that I can’t provide on my own. This includes special furniture for the classroom.
My Project
This table will provide hands-on learning opportunities that are engaging to all. Students love using dry-erase boards and markers. The only thing better is a dry erase table for students to work through problems as a team and with teacher support. Dry-erase also provides students the opportunity to quickly and easily alter their work enhancing student confidence and success.
This table will help to create an environment in my classroom that is interactive and engaging.
Students will be excited to have a full table to explore their thinking and show evidence of their work!
I will also use this table at guided reading to model how to decode words and help students complete graphic organizers based on the story we read.
