My students need Readers' Theater Script Boxes, Partner Scripts and a set of Fluency Skills Listening Centers to practice reading fluency in stations daily.

I teach a group of diverse first graders in a wonderful inner-city school.
There are students at multiple learning levels, many Spanish-speaking families, and the majority are low-income. Consequently, resources are not always readily available for each student.
My Project
My aim is to have every student daily practicing their reading fluency in literacy stations. I enjoy having students work with their peers, practicing reading aloud. This in turn helps to build their own skills and confidence. The items that I have requested will accomplish this goal. I want to enhance my students' fluency by using Readers' Theater scripts and using a Fluency Skills Listening set. This set has various interactive activities that will model good reading. Students will learn how to read accurately, fluently, and with emotion while completing these activities.
Before students can fall in love with reading, they must first learn HOW to read.
Many get easily frustrated along the way. These fluency items will provide multiple opportunities for students to progress and flourish. My desire is for every student to be an enthusiastic reader!
