My Students

I have a wonderful class of students who are excited about reading and writing! We have a high level of English Language Learners and economically disadvantaged students. I want to provide an encouraging space that stimulates their learning because their reading skills greatly need to be improved.

My students continually ask to work on their reading and writing skills; this environment is so wonderful to work in as a teacher because their enthusiasm motivates me.

It brings the students so much joy when they say a hard word. They love to learn, and I am so proud of them!

My Project

My students are strategically placed in pods. You should see how much they help each other learn. It is incredible! I currently have a library that the students adore. However, only two students can sit in the library at a time. This is a huge disappointment to the students, but they still choose a book and enthusiastically work at their desks.

The pillows will allow partner students to read, discuss the books, and use clipboards for written projects in flexible seating around the classroom.

My main goal is to keep my students motivated to excel, and making work enjoyable is essential.
