Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have grown up in an inner city. They are faced with violence, crime, poverty, and hunger each day. Despite all of this, they come to school ready to expand their minds and to continue to explore. My students are hopeful and strive for their very best. They are always looking to learn new things and explore different subjects more in-depth.
My students need to stay healthy this year with materials to keep themselves active and relaxed!
We need things like basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, hula hoops and a bag to keep them all in. Having these things will keep my students' minds and bodies moving and active throughout the year. We will be able to keep our students healthy and happy through play and relaxation.
My Project
We don't have a lot of recess equipment, but we do have a lot of energy. My students love to play, and begged and borrowed equipment is usually pretty beat up. My students need balls of all kinds including soccer balls, basketballs, and footballs. They also need hula hoops and skipping rings for outdoor recess. Wouldn't it be nice to give these children just a little play equipment?
Recreational equipment would benefit my students by giving them appropriate ways to express their energy, make choices, and try new things.
Recess equipment would give my students the chance to be more active while we are outside and give them a variety of materials to stimulate more learning inside and out.
